Nice to see some where excited to see them

Heading for Safe Harbors

Well the last two weeks has been interesting to say the least...D went to the Republic of Georgia to drop off Humanitarian aid and to say the I was worried would be an understatement. News reports were they would be pulling in to the port of Poti that was still basically held down by the Russians. Last minute changes had them go instead to Butumi in the southern region. All went well and they pulled out. Onward to Ukraine where they received a not so warm welcome from the Russia supporters. They were cursed at, had stuff thrown at them and unfortunately sent them back to their boat for safety reasons. It is comforting to know that they have left the region and hopefully they are heading in the eastward direction toward home. Let's just hope that hurricane Hannah doesn't hit home before they get there and leave them nothing to return to.

DAY ONE

Well yesterday D left for the her first cruise. She headed out of Charleston bright and early and flew to Washington then on to London. This morning she will be off to Gibaltar where she will meet the boat. This is the beginning of a whole new life for her and I hope all goes well.
